Director of publication
François Devred, director of the PINT platform, is the director of publication within the meaning of article 1-1 of the Law of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy. Editorial content is prepared by the PINT team, which is responsible for the scientific and technical descriptions published here.
Hosting
The site is hosted by the facility itself, on its own server at the address above. The publisher is therefore also the host within the meaning of the Law of 21 June 2004, and is reached at the same details. The servers are in France, and the site runs without any third-party content delivery network.
What this site is for
The site describes the instruments, methods and services of the facility, and gives access to a client area where an order can be prepared, followed and invoiced. It is aimed at academic and industrial teams looking for microcalorimetry, analytical ultracentrifugation or surface plasmon resonance measurements.
Scientific descriptions are given for guidance. A measurement plan is agreed case by case with the facility staff before any work begins.
Citing the platform
Work carried out on the platform is expected to appear in the acknowledgements of any publication that comes out of it: that is what lets the facility account for its activity to the bodies that fund it, and so keep running. Wording to use:
“The authors thank the PINT platform (Institut de NeuroPhysiopathologie, Aix-Marseille Université / CNRS, Marseille) for access to instruments and for technical support.”
Where the team’s contribution goes beyond technical service — designing the experiments, interpreting them, writing — co-authorship is discussed before submission.
Intellectual property
Texts, illustrations, diagrams, animations and software published on this site are protected by French and international copyright law. Reproducing or reusing them, in whole or in part and by any means, requires prior written permission, except for the short quotations permitted by article L.122-5 of the Intellectual Property Code, which must name the source.
The names and logos of Aix-Marseille Université, the CNRS and PINT are protected under articles L.713-2 et seq. of the same code. Using them without authorisation is an infringement.
The ITC/DSC Viewer software
The ITC/DSC Viewer distributed from this site remains the property of Aix-Marseille Université and is made available under the terms shown on the download page. Work published using results obtained with the software should cite the facility as indicated there.
Links
Linking to this site is free, provided the link opens the page in its own window and makes clear where the content comes from. Links that place our pages inside another site’s frame, or that suggest an endorsement we have not given, are not permitted.
We also link to external sites — funding bodies, partner facilities, instrument manufacturers, scientific databases. We do not control what they publish and are not answerable for it.
Accuracy and liability
Pages are kept up to date as far as the facility’s activity allows, but instrument configurations, prices and availability change. Nothing published here forms a contractual commitment; only a signed quotation does. Errors and outdated pages can be reported to inp-pint@univ-amu.fr and will be corrected.
Personal data, cookies and accessibility
How the site handles personal data, and which cookies it sets, is set out on the Personal data page. The accessibility status of the site, and how to report a barrier, is on the Accessibility page.
