NT.Plex

Used for Differential Scanning Fluorimetry

NT.Plex

Overview

The Prometheus NT.Plex, from NanoTemper Technologies, is the platform's high-throughput nanoDSF instrument: it fills and measures 48 capillaries in parallel directly from a 384-well plate, fully automated, and can run around the clock with minimal operator intervention. Each capillary needs only 10 µL of sample, and the instrument tolerates an unusually wide concentration range — from 10 µg/mL up to more than 250 mg/mL — without special buffer restrictions, scanning from 15 °C up to 95 °C (110 °C with the high-temperature upgrade).

Key specifications

Capillaries per run: 48, in parallel

Sample volume: 10 µL per capillary

Concentration range: 10 µg/mL to >250 mg/mL

Temperature range: 15–95 °C (up to 110 °C optional)

Loading: fully automated from 384-well plates

Readouts: Tm, Tonset, unfolding reversibility, Tturbidity (aggregation onset)

Role at PINT

NT.Plex is the platform's front-line formulation-screening instrument — the one that runs a large buffer, pH or excipient matrix in a single overnight batch, feeding the shortlist forward to PEAQ-DSC for full thermodynamic confirmation.
