PANTA

PANTA

Overview

The Prometheus Panta, from NanoTemper Technologies, is the most information-rich instrument in the platform's nanoDSF family: it combines nanoDSF, backreflection, dynamic light scattering (DLS) and static light scattering (SLS) in one thermal ramp, and is the only instrument in the range that collects a full DLS profile continuously throughout the temperature scan rather than as a separate measurement. A single run reports melting temperature (Tm), turbidity onset (Tturbidity), polydispersity index (PDI) and hydrodynamic radius (rH) simultaneously, all from intrinsic fluorescence and light scattering — no dyes or additives needed.

Key specifications

Technologies combined: nanoDSF, backreflection, DLS, SLS

Simultaneous outputs: Tm, Tturbidity, PDI, rH

DLS profile collected continuously through the entire thermal ramp

Detection: intrinsic fluorescence (330/350 nm) and light scattering — label-free

Role at PINT

Panta is used at PINT for the deepest single-run characterization within the nanoDSF family — combining what would otherwise need a separate DLS measurement into the same thermal scan as the stability data, which matters when tracking both conformational and colloidal stability together across a shortlist of candidates coming out of NT.Plex screening.
