AKTA Pure

ÄKTA pure, from Cytiva, is the platform's automated liquid chromatography system for protein purification, available in two flow configurations — ÄKTA pure 25, running up to 25 mL/min (extendable to 50 mL/min for column packing), and ÄKTA pure 150, running up to 150 mL/min for larger preparations — both rated to a maximum system pressure of around 20 MPa (200 bar) and holding flow rate precision within 0.5% RSD.

ÄKTA pure runs every multi-step purification strategy described on the method page — affinity capture, ion exchange, size-exclusion polishing — as a single programmed sequence, and is the platform's only chromatography system, used for everything from small antibody preparations to larger-scale protein production runs.
